TIM CULLEN
Now one of London’s fully established DJ and Producers on the electronic music scene, Tim’s career in music started at a very young age. The son of two very renowned folk musicians, Tim was brought up with music all around, himself playing a number of instruments.
Fast forward to 2009 and we now find Tim in London, fully established within its vibrant electronic music scene as both a popular DJ and a highly respected producer and remixer. With a CV and track record anyone would be proud of, it’s no surprise that Tim commands respect wherever he goes.
The DJ
As with any top DJ these days, it’s hard to pigeon-hole someone into one specific sound/genre, but Tim’s sets would perhaps be best described as ‘Dirty Progressive House, spliced with Electro and Chunky Breaks’.
This warm, uplifting and energetic sound has earned him regular guest appearances at London’s biggest and most well-known clubs, from the legendary Ministry Of Sound and Pacha through to sets at The Cross and his previous residency at Turnmills, both of which have now sadly closed their doors. Naturally, with such an impressive catalogue of performances, he is often seen playing alongside many of the World’s most respected names, including Paul Oakenfold, Hybrid, Tom Neville, Luke Dzierzek, Audiojack, A Skillz, Sam Ball and D Ramirez.
Equally important to Tim are the literally thousands of bars, clubs and private functions he has played for over the past 12 years, with his love for DJing still as strong now as it was back when he picked up his first cut of vinyl. Comfortably playing styles across the board to suit his audience, Tim is able craft the perfect atmosphere through the music he plays, whether it be the small intimate bar, or the 3000 capacity night-club.
The Producer
Alongside Cullen’s outstanding DJ resume comes an equally impressive production back catalog. As a fully qualified sound engineer, with credits ranging from Dreamworks animations through to some of the UK’s most famous television adverts, Tim’s knowledge is second to none.
Going under his own name and his alias Touch Enable, he has had numerous remixes on Ministry Of Sound’s DATA recordings and Powder-Room as well as a number of solo EPs on Infrasonic and Oxyd records.
For his latest production project Tim has once again shown his diversity, teaming up with top producer Andy Tau to create the Trance epic ‘Over You’ feat. Olivia Martyn on vocals. This release is already getting full support from Trance legends Above & Beyond and it is set to light up dance-floors Worldwide this year.
Tim’s talents and pure passion for what he does are more than evident in all aspects of his musicianship, and together with his superb crowd-reading and excellent remixing techniques, he pushing closer and closer to the top!
