Cheeks has been more than an asset to the Stoke music scene, she’s become an icon.

Known for her big hair, filthy electro bass lines, afro beats and low down dirty fidget, Cheeks is an unmistakable talent and a force to be reckoned with.

Born and bred in Malta she grew up on a staple diet of 80’s funk, electro and 90’s hip-hop which formed the musical basis of her influences in those early days.

Her tastes progressed into a penchant for Chicago and tribal house and at the age of fifteen her desire to experience the music that had grasped her meant many a night of underage sneaking into the coolest clubs.

In 2001 Cheeks relocated back to the UK enrolling on a music technology course which would give her the foundations she needed for musical superstardom.

She studied alongside the likes of Amber D and Jim Davies enriching her abilities and perfecting the sound she is known best for today.

2007 brought a residency at renowned local nightspot Bar 360 where Cheeks cemented her status as the kick ass female DJ of Stoke-on-Trent.

She has played in various clubs both locally and internationally, with her musical appeal and undoubtedly excellent skills broadening her horizons.

Some of the nights she has played for include ‘Dirty Beats&Sexy Freaks’, ‘Monkee’ and ’Cream House Classics’. Playing alongside DJ giants such as Fergie, Tom Golden, Charlotte Birch, Chad Lewis and the Trophy Twins has meant Cheeks has had to step up her game to perform, and has risen to the challenge every time.

Not content with limiting her creativity to just music, Cheeks part owns the infamous ‘Spoonface Clothing’ company. Their designs have been worn by Lee Mortimer (a.k.a Sawtooth Sucka), Hijack, Heaven Sent Thugs and Electroslut to name but a few.

As well as making a huge impact on the wreck-head generation of Stoke, Ibiza and beyond, Spoonface Clothing is shaping modern fashion as we know it.

The future can only hold bright things for Cheeks. With her determination, flair for the bold and the new, and musical ability far beyond the average mans reach, Cheeks will never be afraid to step outside of the box.
